Test suite release dates

This page provides a schedule of releases for DTG Testing products in 2011.

Generally speaking each bullet point represents a new test that will be introduced with that release, with a reference number to the associated Squish item and a specification reference in brackets.

Note that in addition to new tests being introduced there will also be bug fixes included with each release.

Test suites released by June 30th 2011

 Freeview MHEG 

• 3255 - New test for resident programs GetSubtitlePref and GetAudioDescPref, as well as relevant engine events
• 2863 and 2864 - Merger of core test suite transport streams
• 3284 - IC changes as per the MHEG corrigenda discussed in working group meetings
• 3262 - Font Resource Model (15.3.1.4)
• 3260 - New test for GetPINSupport (Section 13.10)
• Squish bug fixes (currently assigned to the 2011.6 milestone)

Please note Squish items 3255 and 3260 include tests that are part of D-Book 7. These will be included in this release because they a sunrise date of 1st Oct 2011.

Freesat MHEG HD* 

• 3193 - Font Resource model DLF() (Section FS-15.3.1.4)
• 3224 and 3197 - Changes to IPL026 Buffering due to removal of X-BufferCounterStart header from the specification
• Squish bug fixes

Freesat SI/PSI* 

• 2092 - Test for tunnelled RNT (Section 3.1.2, stability test only)
• 2091 - CRI, RCT in the PMT (Section 4, stability test only)
• 2087 - SD/HD event simulcast descriptor in EIT (Section 13.1, HD receivers only)
• 2084 - Icon now allowable for showing HD simulcast flagging in the grid (Section 18.1)
• 2082 - Icon now allowable for showing HD alternative instance flagging in the grid (Section 18.1)
• 2081 - Event linkage rules updated (Section 18.7.1)

Freesat DTR* 

• 1977 - Trailer booking (Section 4.4)

Freeview MHEG** 

• 3258 - Clarification of ICP(N) (Section 13.4.1)
• 3259 - Non-linear Stream Format (Section 13.5.4) 
• 3261 - MSP (Section 13.10.9a.3)
• Squish bug fixes

Freeview SI**

• 2492 - SI test suite needs some BRL descriptor and carousel to check robustness
• 2493 - Si test suite should check non-recorders are robust to recorder signalling
• 2499 - Test cross-carriage of adjacent network’s EIT
• 2500 - Test for inappropriate ONID behaviour (Section 8.4.2.1)
• 2501 - New test required for application_signalling_descriptor
• 2502 - New test required for extended event linkage descriptor
