DTG Testing has released a MHEG test suite for the South Africa MHEG Profile v2. The profile references ETSI MHEG ES 202 184 and adds a number of extensions required for the South African market.
The test suite has the following functionality:
o MHEG baseline
o HD extensions
o IC and ICS (optional for receivers in South Africa but always shipped in the product)
o File System Acceleration
o South Africa language support and platform identification extensions
o SI access APIs
o PVR extensions

DTG Testing has been awarded the contract to test filters that will be used to protect digital terrestrial television from interference by 4G mobile broadband signals at 800 MHz.
