Join the Engineering Channel

DTG Testing manages the UK Engineering Channel which is used for Over-Air Downloads (OADs) to receivers and interactive application testing for the Freeview, Freeview HD and Freesat services.

All major receiver manufacturers supplying the UK market have service agreements with DTG Testing for access to the Engineering Channel.

DTG Testing manages the scheduling of OADs to ensure that all manufacturers have access to the capacity available with little delay and adequate transmission durations.

To access the Engineering Channel OAD capacity, manufacturers need to be members of the Engineering Channel.

Freeview Engineering Channel Agreement

To join the Engineering Channel please read and sign the relevant membership agreement and email it to customerservices@dtg.org.uk

Once we have received the signed agreement you will receive an invoice for membership. After payment you will receive a log-in to the Engineering Channel website where you can view scheduled over-air downloads and book a slot.

The Engineering Channel is run by DTG Testing and is a pay-as-you-use service. It is completely separate from Digital TV Group (DTG) membership. For more information on DTG membership please visit www.dtg.org.uk/dtg/joining.html
